The Instructions to Authors

 
  1. As a rule contributing authors should be members of the Japan Society for Low Temperature Medicine.
  2. Papers contributed should be on the cryomedicine, cryopreservation of cells, tissues and organs, organ perfusion and cryosurgery. Be written in English, and should not have been previously published. Original article, review, case report, brief communication, and letter are accepted. They should be as concise as possible. Authors whose native language is other than English are strongly recommended to have their manuscripts proofread prior to submission. The basic structure of original article must consist of Introduction including Objective(s), Subject(s), Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  3. All manuscrip should be sent to:

    All submitted manuscripts including the attached illustrations are reviewed by two or more referees.
  4. The Editorial Committee reserves the right to select papers for publication. As a rule, the manuscripts will be published in order of receipt number. All rights reserved. No part of this publication may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopy, recording, or any information storage and retrieval system, without permission in writing from the copy right owner.
  5. The following rules shall be observed for contributors.
    1) The original manuscript should be submitted on diskette along with two copies of the printout.
    2) All articles should be typewritten on one side of the paper only and double-spaced with a wide margin.
    3) Number manuscript pages in consecutive order.
    4) The title (first) page should provide the article title, author(s), full name(s), affiliation(s), true name and complete mailing address, keywords: 5 or less, running head (short title): 50 characters including spaces, and name of grant (if possible).
    5) A summary of 250 words or less,typed on the separate page must accompany each manuscript.
    6) References should be numbered consecutively throughout the text using Arabic numerals. The reference list must appear on a separate page and must be styled in accordance with the following examples. Journal abbreviations as listed in the Cumulated Index Medicus should be used. Where a journal is not listed, its name should be given in full. All authors up to three should be given: for more than three authors, list the first three and add 'et al.'. Reference to books should include: authour(s)'s name(s), chapter title, editor's name(s), book title, edition, place of publication, publisher, year of publication; and page number. Examples of references in correct style are;

    7) Conflict of Interest. All authors must disclose any affiliation with or financial involvement in any organization with a direct financial interest in the subject matter or materials discussed in the manuscript. All funding sources supporting the work and all institutional or corporate affiliation are to be acknowledges in a footnote.
  6. The authors should proofread the first proof and correct misprints,but should not change or add any sentence.
  7. Publications charges will be as follows;
    1) ¥8,000 per page
    2) Printing of 'colored' figures and tables will be subjected to actual expense.The author(s) will be charged with the actual cost of reproduction of any color figure(s). (¥70,000 for the first and ¥50,000 for each additional page).
