1．内視鏡的治療を主軸とした、先進的医療を用いた消化管の診療および研究
- 慢性膵炎患者に対して内視鏡治療、長期予後、膵機能の変化の検討。
- 乳頭部腫瘍に対する画像診断。腺腫などに対する内視鏡治療と長期予後などの検討。
- 炎症性腸疾患患者に対して適切な治療法を選択し、治療前後における免疫機能の変化の検討。
- 早期食道癌、早期胃癌、早期大腸癌に対する内視鏡診断、内視鏡治療、その長期予後について検討。
- 手術不能な消化器癌患者に対する抗腫瘍療法が及ぼす免疫学的研究。
2．小腸疾患に対する内視鏡診断
小腸用カプセル内視鏡およびシングルバルーン式小腸内視鏡を導入し、小腸疾患に対する臨床診断および研究。
3．肝疾患に対する診断および各種治療
ウイルス性慢性肝炎では、ウイルスのタイプや肝炎の状況、患者さんの年齢等に応じて治療法を選択しています。
- B型慢性肝炎では核酸アナログやインターフェロン製剤での治療。
- C型慢性肝炎の治療では経口抗ウイルス薬による治療。
- 急性肝不全に対する人工肝補助療法
- 門脈圧亢進症の治療に内服治療、バルーン下逆行性経静脈的塞栓術（B-RTO）、部分的脾動脈塞栓（PSE）等のカテーテル治療、内視鏡的治療等の有効性や治療効果について研究。
4．消化器系癌患者に対する集学的治療
胃癌、食道癌、大腸癌、肝癌、膵癌、胆道癌などに対しては、局所治療、化学療法、放射線治療などの集学的治療を行っています。
肝癌に対しては、ラジオ波焼灼療法（RFA）、肝動脈化学塞栓療法（TACE）、肝動注化学療法（HAIC）、分子標的治療などを行いながら、外科的切除や放射線治療も考慮して、最適な治療法を選択し、治療法の有効性や臨床効果について研究。
肝癌に対しては、ラジオ波焼灼療法（RFA）、肝動脈化学塞栓療法（TACE）、肝動注化学療法（HAIC）、分子標的治療などを行いながら、外科的切除や放射線治療も考慮して、最適な治療法を選択し、治療法の有効性や臨床効果について研究。
